WOOT!

A hallowe'en tradition that I have always loved is carving our pumpkins, each kid got their own and Dad would help us clear them out and carve them. I can still remember the first time, I was five or six.

Here are a couple of pictures from that year. I can still feel the slimy insides on my hand.
Today I carved my Hallowe'en pumpkins. This will be my first Hallowe'en in this house (last year I was at a Buck and Doe) and I'm very excited. So I carved two. An owl and a regular Jack. Then I made pumpkin muffins with the insides. Yes I know, I'm way too domestic for my own good. I just consider it practice for the real deal someday. :)

Creative Scrappers # 127 - Blessed.

This layout is inpired by Creative Scappers sketch 127.
This layout is for my faithbook and tells how truely blessed I am to be friends with Matt and his wife Emma. He is one of the only friends I have that I can be open and honest about my faith in GOD. Our faith has been what has made our friendship strong.

Teddy Bear's Picnic

When I was a little girl, my best and truest friend was my teddybear, Teddy (original eh?). In fact I still have him, he is currently keeping my future husbands side of the bed warm. I'm not ashamed to admit that. :) So about 6 years ago when my Nana offered a teddybear making class at her store, I was the first to sign up. And I loved it! Then my cousins started having babies and I felt it was important for every kid to have a teddybear. I've made about 16 so far.

Apparently my friends have decided that this year would be a good year to get pregnant and have babies. I know tons of people having babies right now. So a few weeks ago I sat down and cut all the fur for four bears ( the most I have made in a year) and made them all up, in a couple of weeks. One has already been given to it's new daddy. My best friend Matt and his wife Emma just had their first baby on Friday. A baby boy named Oliver.YAY! I'm so excited to meet him! They are still in the hospital but my bear will be waiting for Oliver when he gets home.
These guys are just hanging out, having a picnic until their mommy and daddies are born.

Jumanii

I love scrapbooking. After I went to Italy and Paris in 2007 by Nana gave me a scrapbook to scrap my trip. I really didn't think that I was going to be into it (b/c I have my own way of keeping photos in albums)but I was so wrong. My first book wasn't that much, photo corners and stickers, the occasional coloured paper. After my trip to Disney in 2009 with my bestie Liz I decided to take a class, then I was hooked.
So my brother Dan is having a baby. I'm very very excited. This is a scrapbook page I created using sketch 125 by Creative Scrappers. Congratulations to them on their 125th sketch ! I'm still learning and I love sketches. I was one of those kids who in school who hated when the teacher would assign an assignment and all it would be was WRITE. I needed direction. Not much often, so on some days SCRAP is not enough. Sketches do the trick for me, b/c I can follow it completely or just use  it for inspiration. When I happened apon 125 I knew it would work perfect for my Jumanii ( her nick name until she is born) page. Her room will be purple, which is why I added the purple hearts. I really can't wait to meet her.

Here it goes

Okay so I have never blogged before but I thought I would give it a try. I've become obsessed with scrapbooking and want a place to showcase some of my stuff. My sister P is very creative and also has a blog. This year she has been doing "daily" design challenges and has really inspired me. She isn't into scrapbooking but I think that she would love it. We don't live in the same city and I have so enjoyed her work, that I really wanted to share mine with her. Maybe I can inspire her. :)
